This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can exercise your rights.

Who we are and what this covers

Itkann SARL (ITKANN-SARL) is a Mauritanian technology company based in Nouakchott. We build Livii, a platform for delivering meals and everyday products (livii.app), and LiviiPOS, management software for restaurants and F&B businesses (liviipos.com). We also operate as a Yango fleet partner, recruiting and supporting drivers.

This policy applies to the itkann.org website, the Livii and LiviiPOS applications, and the WhatsApp Business channel we use across all of our activities:

  • Livii customer relations: orders, deliveries and complaints;
  • LiviiPOS support for merchants and restaurant owners;
  • recruitment of and communication with partner drivers, as part of our Yango fleet partner activity;
  • sending information and commercial offers.

Our WhatsApp Business channel (+222 48 17 49 22) runs on Meta's WhatsApp Business Cloud API.

Data we collect

Depending on the service you use and the nature of your request, we may collect:

  • Identity and contact details: name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address.
  • WhatsApp profile name, as shown by the app when you message us.
  • The content of the messages you exchange with us.
  • Files you send us: for example driver's licence, vehicle registration, ID document and vehicle photos for partner drivers; receipts and screenshots for support.
  • Order and delivery data (Livii): items ordered, delivery address, amount and order status.
  • Usage and technical data: connection logs, device type and technical identifiers.
  • Message timestamps and delivery statuses (sent, delivered, read).

Why we use this data

We use your data only for the following purposes:

  • to deliver our services and process your orders, deliveries and subscriptions;
  • to provide support and answer your requests;
  • to process driver applications and follow up on files;
  • to send you transactional messages: order confirmation, delivery status, reminders related to your file;
  • to send you marketing messages, only if you have consented, and with the option to withdraw that consent at any time;
  • to keep our services secure and prevent fraud and abuse;
  • to meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.

Hosting and retention

Your data is kept on Itkann's servers, in our database and in file storage for the documents you send us.

  • Conversations and messages: 24 months.
  • Partner driver files: for the duration of the relationship, then 24 months.
  • Livii or LiviiPOS account data: for the lifetime of the account.
  • In every case: deleted on your request.

You can ask for your data to be deleted at any time. The procedure is described on our "Data Deletion" page.

Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it outside the cases below and any legal obligation.

  • Meta Platforms (WhatsApp), as the provider of the WhatsApp Business channel we use.
  • Our hosting and payment providers, to operate our services.
  • Our delivery partners, where applicable, to fulfil an order.
  • The competent authorities, where the law requires it.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, and to have it corrected, deleted, or to object to its use.

To exercise these rights, write to us at dedahi@itkann.org or send us a WhatsApp message at +222 48 17 49 22. We may ask you to confirm the phone number or email address linked to your account in order to verify your identity.

Opting out of marketing messages

To stop receiving marketing messages, reply STOP, ARRÊT or إيقاف to any of our WhatsApp messages. We will then stop sending you messages of that kind.

Transactional messages related to an ongoing order or an open file may still be sent to you.

Security

We apply measures designed to protect your data:

  • encryption of communications in transit (HTTPS/TLS);
  • access restricted to the members of our team who need it;
  • logging of access to our systems.

Minimum age

Our services are for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data about minors. If you believe we have, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the version in force. If there is a significant change, we will announce it on the site or by message.
